19: You Can Kill a Revolutionary…

You Can Kill a Revolutionary

Progress requires sacrifice.

Brothers and sisters in song.

Brother Malcom, lindy hoppin,

Brother Tupac, rhyme nonstoppin,

Brother Bob, chokin on what he be smokin.

Then passes around, not the only one tokin.

Progress requires sacrifice.

Brothers and sisters in song.

A sister with a cockney accent from the corner interjects,

It’s the ladies turn, no time for jokin.

Sister Amy takes the mic and on point starts strokin.

Hold up a minute, the sister Cranberry has yet to have spoken.

The zombie grabs the mic and starts to sing a tale, heartbroken.

A uninhibited sister from the bar shouts,

well feelin good was good enough for me,

I cant see how anyone could disagree.

For i’m trading all my tomorrows,

For a single yesterday.

And that’s where I choose to live and stay.

Progress requires sacrifice

Brothers and sisters in song
