Collective Thoughts and Prayer
collective thoughts and prayers
are currently echoing around me
the energy it brings to the groupthink
seems to overcome
one’s ability
to think critically.
But even a knowledgable and reflective person,
like Jung or Rogers, believed
in the necessity of a holy venture,
otherwise a person is led into
A crisis of existential proportions.
But the seeking of collective bias by attending and believing
what we are taught, en masse,
is inherently unintellectual, lacks reflection, and shows
no call to legitimate action.
Only a faux offering of assistance.
The assistance is codependence and preferential for
mutual survival of the cult of personality.
Therefore:
as long as the poor and downtrodden,
stay poor and downtrodden,
the church has its role.
And once the poor and downtrodden
find a way out of this perpetual incarceration
the need for organized religion,
as an institution,
may crumble into pieces.
