92: Antiquity

Antiquity

Kill the mind

save the man.

Acquiesce or die.

Make a dollar,

give a quarter.

All supposed to keep order.

Patricians versus Plebs, Sumerian order,

Egyptian Priesthood, Indian caste,

the answers so clear when viewing the past.

Say it loud,

and find yourself locked up.

Voiceless.

It must be madness,

to push against the master,

at least historically speaking.

Make yourself mute,

shrink in your skin,

hide in plain sight.

Individual resistance applauded,

but don’t dare organize,

or they’ll treat you like a King.

Collective awakening

is their fear,

I pray that precipice near.
